Mentro tutto scorre

School II

The series “Mentre tutto scorre” ( while everything flows ), made between 2010 and 2012  is a sociological survey of the life of adolescents in Italy.

High School is eminently the place where identity is shaped by social interaction with peers. It offers according to the psychologist Erik Erikson an environment without great responsibility where adolescents can experiment with different roles and identities. During this process they become part of a cultural group, with whom they share their status or identity.  This process is a process of trial and error and culture groups regularly change composition.

Mutual behavior, group formation, clothes and hair, everything is brought together in a single image. Their inner thoughs and ideas are expressed while using the specific language of the adolescents called  “ graffiti “combined with images made of the surroundings of the school.
